Reopened following a year-long renovation, the refreshed destination offers a relaxed yet elevated culinary experience inspired by the timeless charm of the Mediterranean and coastal Mexico. Long considered one of the most beloved gathering points at the resort, Punta Bonita now returns with a refreshed design ethos, expanded menu, and a vibrant cocktail program that together embody the essence of effortless luxury.

Perched along a stretch of powder-soft beach and turquoise waters, Punta Bonita is designed as a relaxed seaside destination where sun-soaked days blend seamlessly into golden sunsets and vibrant evenings, defined by natural textures, soft earth tones, and an inviting sense of barefoot luxury. The space is organized into three distinct but connected areas: a restaurant with both interior seating and a covered outdoor dining terrace, a beachfront lounge centered around a firepit for casual gathering, and an oceanfront cocktail bar with unobstructed views of the water. 

The new culinary program embraces fresh, coastal simplicity, with a menu centered on chilled seafood, ceviches, tacos, Mediterranean classics, and refined family-style dishes. Highlights include selections from the Crudo Bar, such as king crab, scallops, lobster, oysters, shrimp, and abalone, served with mignonette, ponzu, tartare, and cocktail accompaniments; along with signature plates like Black Truffle Arancino, Lamb Chops glazed with spices and honey, Local Striped Bass, and La Bouillabaisse featuring red snapper, clams, and lobster. Family-style offerings such as Fideuà and Whole Fish Baked in Salt Crust encourage convivial dining reflective of Punta Bonita’s warm, communal spirit.

Complementing the culinary experience is Punta Bonita’s new coastal-inspired cocktail menu, showcasing artisanal mezcales, tropical infusions, and Mexican ingredients such as mango, hibiscus, and lime. Signature drinks range from the All In—a blend of amaro, tequila, pimiento, orange, and canella—to refreshing spritz variations like the Wuana Spritz and Mango Cooler, as well as a dedicated “Nothing to Proof” section featuring non-alcoholic creations such as the Rosita and Punta Bonita mocktail. An internationally curated wine list pays homage to the Mediterranean concept and features Billecart-Salmon Champagne, Italian whites, Mexican rosé, and California reds to round out the beverage experience.

The reimagined Punta Bonita unveils an elevated new design that blends Riviera Maya’s natural beauty with refined Mediterranean design elements. The refreshed architecture centers on open-air pavilions constructed with hand-finished timber beams, textured stone bases, and softly glowing integrated lighting that creates a warm, inviting atmosphere from day to night. The palette is rooted in natural materials—light woods, woven fibers, sand-colored stone, and earthy green textiles—reflecting the surrounding mangroves and coastline while enhancing the restaurant’s effortless beachfront aesthetic.

Expansive terraces flow seamlessly into lounge seating arranged around sculptural fire bowls, while handcrafted rattan and rope pendants introduce a breezy, coastal sensibility overhead. Indoors, Punta Bonita’s new dining room features vertical green tile accents, cane-backed seating, generously scaled terracotta planters, and botanically inspired textures, all framed by large windows that bring the palms and ocean directly into view. The bar has been completely re-envisioned with a terrazzo-style counter, ambient underlighting, and rich wood detailing—creating a centerpiece for both daytime refreshments and lively sunset cocktails.
