Riviera Maya, Mexico (January 2025) - Rosewood Mayakoba is pleased to announce the appointment of Edouard Grosmangin as the Managing Director of the resort, a role he will take on while continuing as Regional Vice President, Mexico and South America for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®.
Edouard brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in the hospitality industry. As Regional Vice President, Mexico and South America for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®, he oversees the operations and strategies of Rosewood properties across the region including Rosewood Mayakoba, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende and Rosewood São Palo, as well as the forthcoming openings of Rosewood Mandarina in Riviera Nayarit (April 2025) and Rosewood Mexico City (2026).

Previously, Edouard has been the Managing Director of Rosewood São Paulo, where he played a pivotal role in the continued success of the acclaimed hotel since its launch in 2022. Under his leadership, Rosewood São Paulo has been cemented as a global icon, recognized for its innovative approach and exceptional guest experiences. The hotel has garnered numerous accolades, including being named Best Hotel in South America by The World’s 50 Best Hotels in both 2023 and 2024.
Before joining Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®, Edouard held key leadership positions in renowned properties across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. His tenure as General Manager at Raffles Seychelles and Six Senses Zil Pasyon and Con Dao showcased his ability to drive performance and strategic direction, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the industry.
A visionary hotelier with a strong commitment to purpose-led initiatives, Edouard is leading the charge toward creating a future where people and places enrich one another by advancing sustainable practices and empowering individuals across our ecosystem.
In his new role, Edouard will oversee all responsibilities of the Managing Director at Rosewood Mayakoba. With a focus on fostering excellence and synergy, he is poised to continue driving growth and elevating Rosewood’s brand presence and positioning in Mexico and South America including the opening of Rosewood Mandarina, MX this spring.
Additionally, Rosewood Mayakoba is excited to announce the appointments of Elisa Gomez as Guest Experience Director and Rachel Laurine as Director of Rooms. With over a decade of experience in hospitality, Elisa Gomez is dedicated to thoughtfully curating every stage of the guest journey, ensuring seamless, personalized stays enriched with innovative and unexpected touches. With extensive experience in hotel launches and guest relations, Rachel Laurine combines her operational expertise with a passion for exceptional service to craft memorable experiences for every guest.
