SEVEN: A Landmark Collaboration at Rosewood Phnom Penh Unites Art, Culture, and Craft

Phnom Penh is entering a new creative era, one shaped by artistic innovation, cultural storytelling, and contemporary craftsmanship. Reflecting this momentum, Rosewood Phnom Penh, in collaboration with Tribe Art Gallery and Seekers Spirits, proudly presents SEVEN, a landmark exhibition running from December 12, 2025 to March 17, 2026.

December 12, 2025

SEVEN brings together seven acclaimed artists, each presenting seven original works, alongside culinary and mixology experiences inspired by the exhibition. The project marks seven years of creative growth for Rosewood Phnom Penh, Tribe Art Gallery, and Seekers Spirits—three partners whose collaboration has helped define Cambodia’s contemporary cultural landscape.

A Celebration of Seven

In Cambodia, where Theravada Buddhism is deeply woven into daily life, SEVEN also draws inspiration from the Seven Factors of Awakening: mindfulness, investigation, energy, joy, tranquility, concentration, and equanimity. These qualities form a conceptual thread for the project, subtly informing the exhibition narrative and the seven-course dinner, and inviting guests to engage with art, flavor, and community through a lens of awareness and balance.

At the same time, SEVEN celebrates seven years of Rosewood Phnom Penh, Tribe Art Gallery, and Seekers Spirits, honoring how these three partners have contributed to Cambodia’s contemporary artistic and lifestyle scene. As part of the exhibition, Seekers Spirits will unveil JK7, a limited-edition collection of seven gins featuring artwork by internationally renowned muralist Fin DAC, created to echo the spirit of creativity and innovation behind the project.

Featured Artists

  • Fin DAC – Irish-born, London-based muralist whose striking female portraits challenge stereotypes and merge traditional aesthetics with modern attitudes.
  • Tor Vutha – Veteran artist and teacher at Phare Ponleu Selpak, whose work reflects resilience and social dialogue rooted in Cambodia’s history.
  • Chan Dany – A master of reinterpreting ancient Khmer forms, blending traditional techniques with contemporary materials to preserve cultural heritage.
  • Nak Noy – Siem Reap native whose bold, symbolic works champion female empowerment and Khmer identity through intricate costumes and jewelry.
  • Ponleu Prom – Artist and educator deeply connected to Cambodia’s countryside, breathing life into forgotten cultures with a focus on peace and freedom.
  • Li Minghang – Chinese-born artist and graphic designer living in Cambodia for the past four years. His work blends Eastern and Western influences, inspired by the country’s vibrant culture and natural beauty.
  • Toto (Perfecto 26 Art) – Timor-Leste-born mixed-media artist exploring unseen social narratives through realism, surrealism, and pop art.

Beyond the Gallery: Culinary and Mixology Experiences

To complement the exhibition, Rosewood Phnom Penh will host culinary and spirits-led activations inspired by SEVEN, including:

  • SEVEN Art Dinner – December 12, 2025: An intimate dinner staged inside the gallery, featuring seven courses inspired by the Seven Factors of Awakening, paired with JK7 cocktails by Seekers Spirits.
  • Opening Cocktail Celebration – December 13, 2025: The official opening of the SEVEN exhibition at Rosewood Phnom Penh, bringing together artists, collectors, partners, and the local creative community. Guests will discover the works on display while enjoying a curated evening of music, conversation, and cocktails, including creations featuring the JK7 gin collection.
  • Meet and Greet with the Artists – December 14, 2025: An informal afternoon of guided tours, conversations, and live demonstrations with all seven exhibiting artists, offering deeper insight into their practices and inspirations.

Daniel Simon, Managing Director of Rosewood Phnom Penh, shared:

“SEVEN reflects the creative energy shaping Cambodia today. It unites visionary artists, contemporary craftsmanship, and immersive experiences to celebrate culture in a way that feels fresh, meaningful, and rooted in community. We are proud to showcase such diverse artistic voices while inviting guests to connect with the stories and traditions that define Cambodia’s contemporary identity.”

As part of Rosewood Phnom Penh’s continued support for arts education, the hotel will host the Phare Ponleu Selpak Charity Dinner on March 14, 2026. The event will feature a live performance by Phare Circus, a charity auction of artwork by Tor Vutha, with proceeds supporting free arts education and social programs for Cambodian youth.

SEVEN will be on view from December 12, 2025, to March 17, 2026, at the Rosewood Phnom Penh Art Gallery, located on Level 35. All artworks are available for purchase.
