Olivia Von Halle x The Carlyle Pajama Collaboration

November 01, 2024

Olivia von Halle has collaborated with The Carlyle, one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks, on a limited edition printed pajama set and eye mask, paying homage to the hotel and the city that never sleeps. The bespoke Carlyle print draws on the Manhattan institution's elegant character and illustrious past. A fixture on the Upper East Side since it first opened its doors in 1930, the Rosewood hotel retains many of the original Art Deco features first designed by Dorothy Draper. Over the decades, The Carlyle has hosted everyone from John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis to Princess Diana. Whether it’s Eartha Kitt performing in the Café Carlyle or luminaries of the stage and screen wiling away the night at Bemelmans Bar, every corner of the hotel is effused with glamour and holds its own store of legendary history.

The Carlyle print is designed to resemble a sketchbook or artist’s map of memorable New York moments, taking inspiration from the rich array of sights and scenes that define The Carlyle and its immediate surroundings. Strolls through Central Park, visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, dirty martinis at Bemelmans Bar: at The Carlyle, everything is close at hand. The print was hand-drawn at Olivia von Halle’s London studio, its flowing, playful lines speaking to the slowly unfolding momentum of the hotel. Its colors likewise riff on The Carlyle’s glamorous palette, full of rich tobacco, reds, creams, and greens. Screen-printed on the world’s finest 19-momme silk, this collection features Olivia von Halle’s signature Lila pajama and Audrey eye mask.

Each set comes in a box sporting the same, spirited print: the perfect memento for those wishing to mark their stay at The Carlyle or take away a little of its opulent, enigmatic spirit. Equally, the set makes an ideal Thanksgiving or Christmas gift for anyone yearning for the hotel’s old-school Manhattan charm.

The limited-edition set is available exclusively at oliviavonhalle.com, shop.rosewoodhotels.com, and at The Carlyle, New York. Prices range from $180 for the eye mask to $810 for the pajama.
