Rooted in the belief that true luxury is not just a destination, but a feeling, Summer at Rosewood celebrates the transformational power of travel through cultural immersion, shared experiences, and self-exploration.
At Rosewood Mayakoba, Summer is brought to life through a series of seasonal experiences that celebrate those simple moments which stay with you long after the day comes to an end, becoming part of the stories we carry forward. Following four evocative themes—Summer Escapes at Rosewood, Nature Takes Center Stage, From Sunrise to Sunset, and Taste of Summer—the experiential extensions underscore how real impact unfolds when place, emotion, togetherness, and personal discovery converge.
Summer Escapes at Rosewood
Beginning June 12th, Rosewood Mayakoba welcomes summer with seasonal experiences designed for relaxation, connection and adventure. Starting then, Casa Del Lago Pool transforms into an idyllic Summer Escape, created in collaboration with luxury resortwear brand, Frescobol Carioca. Indulge in the Brazilian resort life with fashion and lifestyle elements from the brand including styled towels, umbrellas, hammocks and games, as well as a seasonal menu inspired by the laid-back spirit of Rio.
Also starting June 12th, Aquí Me Quedo welcomes guests with a fun beachfront atmosphere designed for all ages. Families can enjoy kid-friendly pools, creative activities, a playful menu from La Cantina and refreshing treats from the brand new Aquí Me Quedo food truck. These offerings provide a vibrant new destination for families while Punta Bonita undergoes exciting enhancements. Summer at Rosewood Mayakoba is a celebration of sun-filled days and unforgettable moments by the sea. From swimming in ancient cenotes to golden hour sails, guests are invited to discover the natural wonders of the resort and immerse themselves in the rich beauty of the Yucatán Peninsula throughout their stay. At Sense, A Rosewood Spa®, ancient traditions are integrated with modern wellness practices through thoughtfully curated treatments like sound healing, apothecary-inspired therapies, traditional Temazcal ceremonies and the signature Kuxtal ritual.
Rosewood Mayakoba debuts Akbal Series at Sense, A Rosewood Spa® – an exclusive collection of moonlit wellness experiences available from 8 p.m. to midnight. Akbal, the Mayan word for “nighttime,” invites guests into an immersive, after-dark journey designed to soothe the senses, promote better sleep and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. Offerings include Moonlit Breathwork by the Spa Pool, a Wind Down Yoga + Sound Ritual, a Float & Glow Evening Soak & Sound Bowl Massage, a Cacao Ritual Station and a Full Moon Celebration Bar with spirit-free cocktails.
Throughout the day, adult guests are invited to unwind at the Serenity Pool at the spa or the new lap pool at the Rosewood Residences fitness center. Mindfulness Mondays offer complimentary Copal & Cacao Meditation sessions, while Wellness Wednesdays offer complimentary workshops including natural exfoliants and facial yoga.

Celebrate the flavors of the season through immersive culinary experiences that highlight local ingredients and authentic culinary traditions. Begin the day at Café Alux, the resort’s new coffee and pastry destination offering locally sourced beans and handmade creations, served daily at La Plaza.
On Tuesday nights, the internationally acclaimed Zapote Bar hosts Martes de Locales, an electrifying evening featuring award-winning bar talent from across Mexico, the U.S. and beyond. Guests can enjoy a vibrant diversity of craft cocktails accompanied by live music and an unforgettable atmosphere that celebrates Mexico’s rich hacienda culture.
At La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen, the Chef’s Garden Dinner invites guests to dine beneath a stunning Ceiba tree, considered sacred in Mayan culture. This open-air culinary experience showcases the heritage of the Yucatán Peninsula with a multi-course menu using traditional open-flame cooking techniques and hyper-seasonal regional ingredients. Seated at communal tables alongside fellow guests and Rosewood associates, immerse in a memorable evening of Mexican hospitality and cuisine, live music, craft cocktails and regional wines and spirits.
