Shaken & Stirred: Hong Kong's KT Lam to Bring New Cocktail Flair to Rosewood Bangkok

Bangkok – Rosewood Bangkok today announced the appointment of acclaimed mixologist KT Lam as its new Director of Bars. Bringing over 11 years of award-winning experience to the Phloen Chit property, Lam will oversee the hotel’s distinguished beverage program, including the iconic speakeasy Lennon’s, and the bars within the hotel’s Chinese restaurant Nan Bei and Thai eatery Lakorn. In his new role, Lam is poised to infuse new energy and innovation into one of the world's most exciting bar landscapes.

A prominent figure in the industry, KT Lam joins Rosewood Bangkok from Rosewood Phnom Penh, where he served as Bar Manager at Sora, the hotel’s acclaimed 37th-floor bar. During his tenure, Sora, renowned for its stylish Whisky Library and Cambodia’s largest selection of single malts, was distinguished with a feature on the latest 50 Best Discovery list.

Lam’s impressive track record includes a four-year stint as Beverage Manager at DarkSide, Rosewood Hong Kong. Under his stewardship, the glamorous jazz lounge garnered numerous prestigious awards, culminating in a 9th-place ranking on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list in 2023. Prior to DarkSide, Lam was Head Bartender at Zuma Hong Kong, which achieved 18th place on Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2018.

Continuing his career journey within the Rosewood family in this new capacity, Lam will uphold the highest standards of service while curating innovative menus and experiences that honor each bar's unique concept and embrace new techniques. He will spearhead dynamic pop-ups, engaging events, and strategic collaborations, further solidifying Rosewood Bangkok’s reputation as a must-visit destination for discerning mixology aficionados.

Lennon’s is a contemporary speakeasy and vinyl bar located on the 30th floor of Rosewood Bangkok. It features an extensive collection of over 6,000 vinyl records, which guests can select and play. Signature cocktails are inspired by guests’ favorite tunes, and a mezzanine cigar lounge, accessed via a spiral staircase, offers a refined haven for cigar aficionados.

The bars within Nan Bei and Lakorn also offer curated beverage selections complementing their distinct culinary offerings.
