Commitment to Sustainability
We're guided by Rosewood's global sustainability vision - striving to enrich lives and restore nature through meaningful, place-driven initiatives.
At the core of everything we do is a deep commitment to care — for our environment, for the communities we’re part of, and for future generations. Our sustainability initiatives are thoughtfully designed to reduce our impact while enriching our connection to the land, sea, and people of Aotearoa New Zealand.
OUR INITIATIVES
Placing circular hospitality at the core of our business
We harvest our own mineral-rich sea salt from Pink Beach using just sun and seawater — a local, sustainable alternative to imported salt.
We source kaimoana from Tora Collective — a small-scale, sustainable seafood supplier catching to order from the pristine waters of the Wairarapa Coast.
We work with Leigh Fisheries to source wild-caught seafood using low-impact, sustainable fishing methods and fully traceable practices.
We’re proud partners of Cape Sanctuary — supporting native birdlife, forest regeneration, and the protection of some of New Zealand’s most precious species.
Our partnership with Hōhepa Hawke's Bay reflects our commitment to sustainability, community, and the nurturing of creativity.
A 10.6km predator-proof fence protects native species from invasive pests — enabling thriving birdlife and ongoing ecological restoration.
