A rare chance to taste the minimalistic yet innovative cocktails from the London destination, the residency will highlight fine drinking and the excellence of Rosewood, uniting two distinct bar identities under one roof for a limited time on the Central Coast.

A meeting of two of Rosewood’s most refined hotel bar programs, the one-night event reflects the shared philosophy and creativity behind both award-winning establishments, offering a rare opportunity to experience the London-based bar stateside, bringing its unique voice to one of California's most celebrated coastal destinations.

A 2026 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Award Nominee for Best U.S. Hotel Bar with two Pins from the Pinnacle Guide, The Manor Bar’s Director of Bars Eliza Hoar welcomes Scarfes Bar team led by Director of Bars Andy Loudon, bringing together two signature menus: The Manor Bar’s Chronicles of Cocktails, Volume V: California's Greatest Adventure, alongside Scarfes Bar's celebrated Heroes & Villains menu. California’s Greatest Adventure takes guests on a tasting road trip through the Golden State with inventive cocktails in custom glassware inspired by iconic sights and works of art.

Meanwhile, Heroes & Villains takes its inspiration from renowned British artist and caricaturist Gerald Scarfe’s art book of the same name, mirroring the work’s satirical spirit by examining the cocktail industry itself and reflecting the longevity of its trends. Championing modern mixology techniques, including clarification, distillation, and carbonation, the menu toys with “villainous” counterparts; the long-standing classics bartenders famously love to hate, including tropical serves, Cosmopolitans, Pornstar Martinis and Mojitos. The two menus offer guests an engaging evening that moves between The Manor Bar’s sense of place and Scarfes Bar’s clever storytelling around the duality of modern mixology.

ABOUT SCARFES BAR

Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London, which opened in 2014, is an award-winning bar inspired by the atmosphere of a drawing room, with live jazz music playing each day from a host of talented performers evoking a convivial and sophisticated yet intimate atmosphere located a short distance from London’s Covent Garden. The bar is named after British artist and caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, whose artwork adorns the walls of the bar and is encompassed within the cocktail menus.
