A handsome, library-inspired bar where cocktails celebrate literary works. Iconic characters, diverse authors, and notable anecdotes inspire conversation. The menu draws inspiration from literature and is in its fifth iteration.

5 pm - 11 pm (Sunday-Thursday)
4 pm - midnight (Friday-Saturday)
Food menu available until 10:30 pm
21+ only after 9 pm

Our atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We simply ask guests to refrain from wearing flip-flops, beachwear, sportswear, or hats while enjoying The Manor Bar.

The Chronicles of Cocktails Volume V | California's Greatest Adventure

The fifth chapter in our acclaimed cocktail anthology under the direction of Bar Director Eliza Hoar, expands upon The Manor Bar’s signature literary theme, this time journeying beyond the pages and into the landscapes, sounds, and stories that define California.

 

A tasting road trip up the Golden State, with a map as its menu, California’s Greatest Adventure draws inspiration from works of art—literature, lyrics, and screen plays—that capture the essence of California’s artistic spirit.

 

The resulting menu riffs on classic cocktails to create a sensory map of California, evoking rugged coastal cliffs, towering redwoods, and neon-lit boulevards, told through flavor, texture, and imagination.

 

 

Reading Hours at The Manor Bar

Escape to The Manor Bar during the day for Reading Hours—a serene retreat from 8 am to 2 pm where guests and locals can enjoy a cozy, book-filled atmosphere perfect for reading, working, or quiet reflection. Featuring a curated selection of books from Godmothers Bookstore, it’s the ideal spot to unwind with your favorite novel or discover a new one.

Born and raised in New York City, Eliza is a highly awarded individual in the class of hospitality and mixology. Her curiosity and drive have since taken her across the country—from New York to Aspen, San Diego to Boston—each stop shaping her distinctive approach to hospitality and craft cocktails.

Manager, The Manor Bar

Born in Madrid, Javier brings a global perspective shaped by time in Vienna, San Diego, and now Santa Barbara. A Les Roches graduate with a strong luxury foundation, he pairs technical expertise with a warm, people-first approach. Known for his attention to detail and approachable style, he’s a natural trainer who elevates teams through coaching, mentorship, and genuine care.
