A Design Icon, Reborn

Discover a former embassy reborn for a new chapter as a cultural destination

Set in the former US Embassy on Grosvenor Square, The Chancery Rosewood transforms a historic landmark into a dynamic cultural epicentre. Blending its illustrious past with fresh perspectives, it gathers emerging and renowned talent for one-of-a-kind events, performances and exhibitions that energise London’s creative scene.

Channelling the free-thinking spirit of the 1960s—originally designed by modernist Eero Saarinen and home to the U.S. Embassy—this iconic building is reborn under David Chipperfield Architects, featuring 144 suites, designed by Joseph Dirand. The sharply angled exterior is balanced by softer contours inside, where sleek lines intertwine with plush textures.

With eight bars and restaurants, guests are taken on a culinary journey—from the European premiere of New York's Carbone to a dynamic rooftop bar with room for 300 to dine al-fresco. The Chancery Rosewood is decidedly intimate. Deeply personal relationships define a hyper personalised experience, elevating the art of hospitality to new heights. Filled with discovery at every turn, guests enjoy seamless journeys, with no check-in or check-out times and two-way airport transfers crafted for effortless arrivals and departures.
