February 16th, 2017 marks the official Chinese New Year and Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s Chinese restaurant, Dai Pai Dong welcomes the year of the Dog, the eleventh in the Chines Zodiac, with traditional Cantonese feasts.

Daily for dinner from Sunday to Thursday, Chef Dong invites you to experience, Cantonese flavours and popular Dai Pai Dong dishes. Start the celebration with a Dai Pai Dong assortment featuring Lotus Nut the traditional Yee Sheng Salad also known as the prosperity Toss and continue the journey with the season’s favourites Shrimp “Har Gow”, Cantonese Roast Duck, Traditional Roasted Short Ribs and the star of the night Braised ‘E Fu’ with lobster. Finish off the celebration and enjoy a traditional Chinese New Year Cake shaped like a Koi and representing abundance.
On the weekend, Dai Pai Dong showcases its popular Yum Cha Brunch where the Dim Sum trolley will weave its way through the tables and offer guests the most delectable steamed and fried buns!
To end the celebration in-style, Al Maryah Island puts on its famous Fireworks display on Friday, February 16th at 08:30 p.m. Watch the colours bursts right above you at GLO terrace and join in the celebrations with Asian inspired cocktails.
