Café Carlyle is delighted to welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter and Bangles co-founder Susanna Hoffs for her Café Carlyle debut this September. The limited five-night engagement will take place September 21, 22, 24, 25 & 26. Boasting one of pop music’s most beloved voices, Hoffs was born and raised in Los Angeles with an ever-present soundtrack of 1960s music, shaping the distinct sound and sensibility that would later define her career. Inspired by punk and new wave, she formed her first band with David Roback of Mazzy Star while attending UC Berkeley before co-founding The Bangles, one of the defining bands of the 1980s. With a string of platinum-selling albums and era-defining hits including “Eternal Flame” and “In Your Room,” both co-written by Hoffs, The Bangles helped shape the sound of modern pop-rock and established Hoffs as one of the most recognizable voices of the era.

Beyond The Bangles, Hoffs has built an expansive solo career spanning music, film, and most recently literature with her acclaimed novel, This Bird Has Flown. Her solo releases and celebrated Under the Covers trilogy with Matthew Sweet further showcase her distinctive interpretation of classic songs. Hoffs has also appeared in the Austin Powers films as part of the band Ming Tea. Her forthcoming solo album is slated for release in September 2026.
