Unveiling February, 2014
Bringing a vibrant, youthful atmosphere to the refined elegance of the historic setting, Holborn Dining Room is a smart, bustling brasserie at the heart of the city with a classic menu of simple yet sophisticated British dishes.
Renowned designer Martin Brudnizki dreamed up the smart interior, which draws on classic British design, mixing reclaimed oak with antique mirrors, leather upholstery and tweed details. The main dining room includes both a bar to drink at and a bar to eat at, each topped with aged copper and patina brass, as well as passages leading out to the Holborn Delicatessen on High Holborn and The Terrace in the hotel’s peaceful inner courtyard.
Specialising in both traditional and contemporary British cuisine, the restaurant is a popular venue for informal breakfasts, celebratory lunches, pre- and post-theatre dinners and a favourite local eatery for those living and working in the area, who drop in to enjoy the always lively atmosphere and the friendly, knowledgeable service.
The carefully crafted wine list includes some 120 bin selections, with both hidden gems and popular classics. The bar also offers a selection of local craft beers and ales, as well as a sumptuous selection of post-prandials.
The Terrace is the al fresco extension of Holborn Dining Room set in the serene Edwardian inner courtyard of Rosewood London. An expansive, ruminative pavilion, it looks out onto the ornate Grade II-listed façade and up toward the cupola, which rises to 166 feet (50.6 metres.)
