Rosewood Hotel Group has promoted Stephan Tschuppik from area managing director to regional vice president, with new responsibility for supervising the group’s growing footprint in Vietnam. In addition to his current role overseeing Rosewood Guangzhou, New World Qingyuan Hotel and New World Shunde Hotel, he will be responsible for the performance of the group’s Vietnam properties. These include New World Saigon Hotel, New World Phu Quoc Resort and properties within Hoiana Integrated Resort on the central Vietnam coast, including Hoiana Hotel & Suites, New World Hoiana Hotel.
Mr. Tschuppik joined Rosewood in 2018 as managing director of Rosewood Guangzhou and under his guidance the hotel opened its doors in September 2019 to become an instant icon for the city offering a distinguished, modern and inspired hotel experience.
An Austrian native, Mr. Tschuppik’s hotel career has taken him from his home country to the U.A.E., Oman, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan and mainland China. His 30 years of industry experience includes 16 years in the Hyatt group, including management roles at Park Hyatt Saigon and Grand Hyatt Seoul and the pre-opening and opening of China hotels such as Grand Hyatt Shenyang and Park Hyatt Hangzhou.
