Dining at Rosewood London

Showcasing the capital’s finest conversational cuisine and intuitive service, Rosewood London’s luxury hotel restaurants and bars share a genuine British sensibility. The glamourous Mirror Room, dynamic Holborn Dining Room and celebrated Scarfes Bar translate the city’s diverse traditions with a delightfully modern approach.

Holborn Dining Room
Located in the heart of Holborn, moments away from Covent Garden, Holborn Dining Room is a grand, bustling British brassiere within the meticulously restored, ultra-luxury hotel, Rosewood London. Previously the East Banking Hall of Pearl Assurance, Holborn Dining Room serves seasonal, locally sourced British cuisine with a modern twist.

The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is home to the Gin Bar featuring over 500 gins, The Pie Room and The Terrace.

Holborn Dining Room features a selection of carefully curated dishes by Head Chef, Calum Franklin, who has drawn from his wealth of culinary experience in top British kitchens, to create menus that use the best seasonal produce the UK has to offer and ensure diners ‘can be wowed by ingredients as well as cooking’. The à la carte lunch and dinner menus are updated seasonally, and feature an array of signature British dishes including locally-sourced seafood and grilled meats, a sumptuous lobster thermidor tart, beetroot and gin cured salmon, 35-day aged roast rib eye, fish and chips, and the favourite shrimp burger. Chef Calum’s much loved pastry specialities include the curried mutton pie and Welly Wednesday special, beef wellington, served only on Wednesdays.

The Gin Bar

Holborn Dining Room features the Gin Bar offering London’s largest collection of Gin. The Gin Bar features over 500 Gins and 20 tonics, which are perfectly paired in the Gin Book offering over 10,000 varieties of G&T’s as well as gin based cocktails. The bar further offers the dining counter (seating 35) ideal for private events, each topped with aged copper and patina brass, a perfect location to enjoy a British charcuterie board, or fresh native oysters. Our expert team of bartenders additionally offer weekly gin tasting masterclasses held every Saturday, for those looking to broaden their knowledge of the botanical spirit.

The Pie Room

Officially opening in March 2018, ‘The Pie Room’ at Holborn Dining Room is a one-stop destination dedicated to one of Britain’s most iconic dishes. Spearheaded by Executive Head Chef and pastry expert, Calum Franklin, ‘The Pie Room’ at Holborn Dining Room is a treasure trove of savoury delicacies, and somewhere for every food-lover to swing by and take away one of the beautifully intricate pastry creations. Acting as an extension to the kitchen, customers are able to watch the restaurant’s chefs at work - including Chef Franklin - as they craft offerings such as pork pies, impressive beef wellingtons, pâté en croûtes and complex pithiviers by hand every day.

The Pie Room is available every evening as a private dining room, where guests will be able to enjoy a 3-course set menu, specifically tailored by Executive Head Chef Calum Franklin.
The Pie Room also sells fresh pies, Monday – Friday between 11am and 4pm, where passers-by are able to pop into The Pie Room from High Holborn, and grab a ‘pie to-go’ via the handy street-side hatch. Visitors who are keen to try their hand at the craft also have the chance to participate in weekly pie-making masterclasses, to create their own pork pies or Beef Wellingtons.

The Terrace

Transformed by award-winning landscape designer Luciano Giubbilei, The Terrace enables guests to savour unique food and drink offerings in a luxurious garden setting. The year-round garden terrace offers guests constantly evolving dining and drinking experiences, inspired by luxury partnerships, delivering a pop-up experience which rotates throughout the year. Surrounded by lush greenery, The Terrace evokes the design of a quintessential English garden with seasonal flowering plants in textural woven willow baskets highlighting the British craft heritage. Classically pruned London Plane Trees form the overhead greenery and soft glow lighting offers a subtle backdrop enhancing The Terrace’s privacy and intimacy.
