Bigger’n Texas

An up-close-and-personal tour of Texas—from Dallas and Marfa to a working cattle ranch—with the designers whose western wear is taking the fashion world by storm.

Don’t mess with Texas—at least not when it comes to style. The home state of Neiman Marcus, Prada Marfa, and Beyoncé knows how to make a fashion statement. Now, an exclusive Rosewood Limited Edition experience from Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek will provide rarefied access to the tastemakers who are redefining classic cowboy style.

Your hosts: Sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means, whose Dallas-based boot brand, Miron Crosby, combines a New York fashion sensibility with true Texas heritage. That heritage runs in the sisters’ blood:

Lizzie and Sarah grew up on a West Texas cattle ranch, and their cousins operate Rios of Mercedes, the legendary South Texas boot factory that started making footwear for Emperor Maximilian’s cavalry back in 1853. Miron Crosby’s hand-stitched boots have fed the recent resurgence of western wear on fashion runways, leading to glowing coverage in Vogue and Elle and collaborations with the likes of Prabal Gurung. Lizzie and Sarah will not only create a pair of custom boots for you—they’ll ensure the experience is perfectly bespoke and completely authentic. That means a private jet trip to the Rios of Mercedes factory for a fitting, design sessions at the Miron Crosby studio at Highland Park Village in Dallas, and accessorizing by the sisters’ chosen partners: Greeley Hat Works for a proper cowboy hat and hand-forged silver belt buckles by Comstock Heritage.

The sisters will also invite you for an overnight stay at the Means family ranch for a Texas-style retreat. That means skeet shooting, lasso throwing, sunrise hiking, even helping with a cattle round-up. You’ll tuck into hearty a chuckwagon breakfast as well as meals concocted by Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault.

For those who want a side of high culture with their Texas two-stepping, fear not: The experience also includes a private jet excursion to Marfa, the West Texas art colony, where you’ll enjoy a lunch with local curators and a private tour of the Chinati Foundation, the iconic Prada Marfa store, and other highlights.

The experience includes three nights in the Penthouse at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and one night at the ranch. And you’ll be accompanied for the entire trip by a Mansion butler—and your own personal photographer.

Price is $197,580, bookable 90 days in advance. For more information, please call Tracy Fitz, Area Director of Sales and Marketing, 214-520-5870.
