The perfect end to an active Sunday morning, the chef will share his take on Italian Pasqua classic recipes ahead of Easter Monday’s Pasquetta Hike. A gentle guided walk around the scenic, historic estate of Castiglion del Bosco, a local expert will point out famous spots and the most beautiful views.
For art lovers
The 2023 season at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is bringing guests even closer to the rich and historic world of art in Tuscany, a region of true craftsmanship, and home to many of the Italian masters. The resort has introduced a number of specially curated, hands-on workshops in Siena and guests can now take up the brush themselves and try gold-ground mediaeval painting, in which they can attempt their own Sienese painting scene of Piazza del Campo in Siena using the hands-on techniques and materials used in the old days.
Ceramics has always played a huge part in Tuscany’s art history, and now Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is welcoming guests to test their skills in the ancient craft of shaping raw materials into jewellery, plates or bowls, a hallmark of Tuscan tradition and craftsmanship, guided by a professional ceramics artist from the region.
For culture enthusiasts
For guests looking to simply explore the region’s fascinating history, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is now offering a tour of San Gimignano, a UNESCO world heritage site known as the ‘Manhattan of the Middle Ages’. Groups will be guided round the town's 13 remaining towers, which were built in the 14th century by affluent families to showcase their wealth, and taken to a world where time stands still as they walk along the ancient Via Francigena inside the town walls, navigate narrow streets leading to large squares flanked by majestic churches and palaces. Wine tasting and a gelato stop will also be on the agenda, with guests being taken to a famous local gelateria and the home of the famous white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Guests can also experience a private dinner with magnificent views from the rooftop of the Chigi tower, which rests in the heart of the historical town.
With the autumn season comes Halloween, and new this year the resort is offering guests a private guided tour of the hidden river, legends of spirits and ghosts of Siena. On the walking tour a dedicated guide will tell all of Siena’s most thrilling myths and folklore while showcasing the most haunted, secret spots in the ancient town.

This summer, famed singer Andrea Bocelli will once again be the star of the natural amphitheatre of Lajatico, Teatro del Silenzio.
