The Club at Castiglion del Bosco is Italy’s only private golf club and is reserved for members only. Rosewood guests wishing to learn more about The Club’s exclusive new invitation to membership are invited to apply for a one-time-only Membership Discovery experience during their stay.
The golf course at Castiglion del Bosco is one of the finest private courses in Europe and the only Continental European design of champion golfer Tom Weiskopf.
Weiskopf’s Tuscan masterpiece is exquisitely blended into the soft curves and contours of the estate’s rolling hills and valleys, treading lightly in an environment whose natural beauty requires little enhancement or embellishment. As Weiskopf himself says about the course, “It looks as if it has been there 100 years.”
For the golfer striking out across the rich, rolling grasslands, the same Tuscan topography that yields the ripe delights of acclaimed Brunello wines also produces turf of the finest playing quality. Beautifully conditioned tees and fairways give way to elegant green complexes with eminently smooth, true-rolling putting surfaces.
An historic farmhouse overlooking the course has been converted into an elegant Clubhouse. Members benefit from exclusive access to locker rooms, including a wellness corner with sauna and steam room, as well as a members-only lounge and a Professional Shop.
From 2018, an exclusive new invitation to membership of The Club enables guests of the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco Hotel to apply for a once-in-a-lifetime Membership Discovery experience.
Guests will experience a personal tour of The Club’s private amenities and an exclusive opportunity to play the golf course.
The clubhouse, members’ lounge, terrace and locker rooms are reserved for members only at all times.
