U.S. News & World Report today unveiled its annual Best Hotels list, naming Rosewood Hotel Georgia the number one hotel across three separate categories including Canada, British Columbia and Vancouver for the second consecutive year. Long renowned as one of the most trusted resources in the industry, the prestigious list evaluates more than 30,000 luxury properties across the United States, Europe, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean, considering both expert and guest sentiment in addition to industry accolades. The winning properties are showcased on USNews.com.
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Rosewood Hotel Georgia combines the grandeur of the Roaring Twenties with contemporary design and comfort. First opened in 1927 as Hotel Georgia, the historic property re-opened as Rosewood Hotel Georgia in 2011 following a full restoration and has since played host to a who’s who of the entertainment world including Elvis Presley, Nat "King" Cole, Katharine Hepburn, and British royalty. Today, the legendary boutique hotel features 156 guest accommodations, an award-winning Sense, A Rosewood Spa®, and four distinct dining venues including 1920’s style speakeasy Prohibition and tasteful rooftop venue Reflections: The Garden Terrace.
“We are honored to be recognized as the number one hotel in the city, province and country for the second year in a row by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotels rankings,” said Brad Simmons, director of sales and marketing at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. “This humbling accolade not only within the Vancouver market, but also across Canada and the larger British Columbia region, is a testament to our dedicated associates who go above and beyond to provide our guests with seamless service and thoughtfully curated experiences in an elegant and luxurious setting.”
The U.S. News & World Report best hotels rankings are based on a complex analysis of both guest and expert opinions. This methodology is employed to ensure that the rankings are as unbiased as possible. The awards are released annually at the time the rankings are updated. The full list is published exclusively online at https://travel.usnews.com/Hotels/.
“The U.S. News Best Hotels rankings combine data from industry expert evaluations as well as traveler-focused reviews and insight to provide a more holistic idea of what each hotel has to offer,” said Hannah Cheney, senior travel editor at U.S. News. “Readers can use the rankings to find a variety of options for every type of vacation. Whether that’s a luxurious stay in Paris or a weekend getaway to a college or beach town, we’ve expanded the hotel rankings to give readers information on even more hotels.”
