Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, the luxury hotel nestled in an enchanting artist’s village north of Mexico City, today announced the opening of its highly anticipated, two-story Artesana boutique. Located adjacent to the hotel’s stunning lobby, the shop features a newly renovated terrace surrounded by a lush landscape and a limestone fountain, and offers a selection of epicurean delights, high-end apparel, custom-designed jewelry, and hand-crafted household furnishings and décor. Featuring both locally-inspired and locally-crafted gifts, many of which are available exclusively at the boutique, the 160 square-foot space will offer travelers a one-of-a-kind luxury shopping experience highlighting the distinct culture and history of San Miguel de Allende.
“At Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, we pride ourselves on offering guests authentic experiences that provide a true sense of place,” said Alfredo Renteria, Managing Director at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. “With the new boutique, we have created a shopping experience that is reflective of the hotel’s location in the heart of a thriving community of artists and craftsmen. We are excited to showcase the abundance of local talent, and give travelers the opportunity to take home a truly special keepsake.”
The Artesana boutique at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende will highlight the city’s unique gastronomic offerings. Guests and locals alike can enjoy a selection of hand-curated epicurean novelties sold exclusively at the shop, including specially baked breads by the hotel’s Pastry Chef, Salvador García, homemade artisanal jams made with local produce made by Chef Victor Palma, and specialty salt.
The store will also offer an impressive selection of handmade jewelry, including pieces from Muhna by Sami, a boutique brand exclusively found in San Miguel de Allende, and AG47 by Adriana Gutiérrez, a contemporary jewelry designer who incorporates local gems and stones native to the region in her rings, earrings and necklaces. The boutique also sells swimsuits and cover-ups from several internationally renowned swimwear brands, including Vilebrequin, Maaji, and Touche. The shop also carries guayaberas, a distinctive men’s shirt authentic to the region, from Jon Sonen, a luxury menswear label.
In addition to jewelry and clothing, guests can also browse a wide range of home goods. From hand-painted pottery and plates to quirky bells and miniature sculptures, each is infused with a special, locally-inspired aesthetic and style. The boutique carries items from the Azul Cobalto Gallery, a nearby store that combines traditional and contemporary high-quality Mexican art in beautiful and elegant home decoration. In addition, guests can find unique leather goods, such as jewelry boxes, notebooks and picture frames, from Piel Canela, a Mexican leather brand that boasts intricate colorful designs.
The boutique is open daily, Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm. For more information, please call (+52) 415152 9765.
