Rosewood San Miguel de Allende Honored as the #1 Best City Hotel in Mexico

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (July 12, 2022) – Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, the luxury hotel nestled in an enchanting artists’ village north of Mexico City, is pleased to announce that it has been honored by Travel + Leisure’s 2022 World’s Best Awards, earning the coveted #1 spot in the category of “Best City Hotels in Mexico.” This award marks the seventh consecutive year Rosewood San Miguel de Allende has been recognized as part of the annual awards list. The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards are determined based on firsthand experiences and reviews of the magazine’s sophisticated readership. In this year’s Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, San Miguel de Allende was also ranked #2 in the list of the Best Cities in Mexico and Best Cities in the World.
In addition to Travel + Leisure appointing Rosewood San Miguel as the #1 Best City Hotel in Mexico as part of its annual World’s Best Awards, the property continues to earn prestigious accolades year after year. In 2022, U.S. News & World Report named Rosewood San Miguel de Allende the #1 Best Hotel in San Miguel de Allende and the #1 Best Hotel in Mexico City & Central Mexico. Additionally, Rosewood San Miguel received the AAA Five Diamond Award and was named a Five-Star Resort by Forbes Travel Guide.
The World’s Best Awards are determined by a survey developed by the editors of Travel + Leisure, in association with research firm M&RR. For four months, readers were invited to participate through Travel + Leisure magazine, T+L tablet editions, newsletters, social media and on Travel + Leisure’s website. Respondents were asked to rate a wide range of hospitality brands on several characteristics. For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor and the final scores are indexed averages of these responses.
