CABELO
Born in 1967, Cabelo is a Rio-based artist influenced by urban aesthetics and cosmic themes. His artwork at Rosewood São Paulo's Rabo di Galo bar delves into ancestral origins, with Cabelo seeing himself as a vessel for poetry.
Art Collection
Home to a permanent collection of over 450 works of art by many Brazilian artists and artisans, the Rosewood São Paulo is committed to celebrating and recognizing Brazilian art and creativity.
Brazilian roots are found in creativity
We are what we produce: the notes of our music, the lines of our architecture, the contours of our design, the richness of our art, the flavors of our cuisine, the exuberance of our flora, the dramaturgy and the dance of our bodies in natural and urban landscapes.
We are the Brazilian creativity that takes the country to the world. Our culture defines who we are and we define our culture. A cultured life is a rich life. There is no luxury without culture.
CURATION
Marc Pottier
He was invited to curate the Cidade Matarazzo complex, including Rosewood São Paulo. Marc explored Brazil from north to south looking for new talent, including indigenous art, popular Brazilian art, street art, and contemporary artists, known and unknown.
For Rosewood São Paulo, approximately 50 artists were selected, most of the works being “Site Specific”, referring to works created according to the environment and a specific space, which make them unique and exclusive pieces. These are, in general, planned works.
“The public will find a number of talented Brazilian artists, as is not possible at the Museum. At the Museum you have temporary exhibitions, and here at Rosewood São Paulo, you can permanently see important artists and have a very complete view of what exists in Brazil today”.e.
