Cafe Carlyle is thrilled to welcome Tony nominated Justin Vivian Bond to Café Carlyle this fall for their debut residency from November 4 - 8, 2025. Mx Justin Vivian Bond- iconic performer, writer, and visual artist - brings decades of transgressive glamour and incandescent talent to the storied cabaret stage. A trailblazer in Trans visibility and queer performance since the early ’90s, Bond has lit up venues from Joe’s Pub to Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Vienna Staatsoper, and now lends their singular voice and presence to this intimate uptown setting.
A Tony nominee and recipient of an Obie, a Bessie, and the 2024 MacArthur Fellowship, Bond’s genre-defying artistry spans concert, cabaret, film (Shortbus, Can You Ever Forgive Me?), literature (Tango: My Childhood Backwards and in High Heels), and visual art. Their recordings, including Dendrophile, Silver Wells, and the acclaimed Only an Octave Apart with countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, showcase their range, emotional depth, and signature wit.
