Mary-Victoria Voutsas is an award-winning pianist, educator, and arts leader whose career spans solo performance, chamber music, teaching, and community engagement. Praised as a “powerful” and “enthralling pianist” by Washington City Paper, she has appeared on distinguished stages including the Kennedy Center, Lisner Auditorium, and international embassies, and has been featured at major events such as the 75th NATO Summit and Olympic launches for Warner Brothers and Discovery Channel. A sought-after collaborator, she has performed with ensembles including the National Symphony Orchestra and Peabody Chamber Orchestra, served as rehearsal pianist for artists such as Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alison Krauss, and maintains an active presence in chamber music through groups including Salon Trio and the Kombos Collective.
In addition to her performance career, Dr. Voutsas is recognized for her scholarship, advocacy, and leadership in Hellenic music. She is the only artist to have recorded the piano works of Vasily Kalafati and has released acclaimed albums exploring Greek musical heritage, including Hellenic Song: A Musical Migration and The Moon is Red. A recipient of numerous international awards, she holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from The Catholic University of America and serves as an educator, board member, and community leader throughout the Washington, D.C. region, advancing both classical performance and contemporary cultural initiatives.
