Discover Groundwork, an exhibition presented in partnership with THE TAGLI, featuring new work by James Evans, Minye Yue and Charlie Russell, selected from more than 350 applicants to THE TAGLI's 2026 Mentorship Award.

Working across painting, textiles and mixed media, each artist constructs rather than simply paints. James Evans builds his canvases around supports of mesh and pine, allowing structure and negative space to carry as much meaning as pigment. Minye Yue weaves textile works stitch by stitch, drawing on the quiet resilience of the natural world. Charlie Russell layers oil, wax and marble dust into vivid, glitch-like forms shaped by memory and the movement of light through domestic spaces.

Together, their works speak to foundations: surfaces built up over time, artists laying the groundwork of their careers, and a building shaped by its own layers of history. Each piece invites a closer look, where material, memory and place meet.

Unfolding along the grand marble staircase and through the hotel's public spaces, Groundwork creates a quiet dialogue with Rosewood London's Edwardian interiors. Guests are invited to wander at their own pace and encounter contemporary art in unexpected places. All works are available to purchase.
