Led by an expert guide, the Sacred Trees Hike invites guests along the intermediate-level trail through the landscape between rainforest, mountains and sea. Along the way, guests learn to identify native flora and fauna and discover the ecological relationships that shape this stretch of the Nayarit coast.

The hike culminates at the 500-year-old Abuela Tree, a site of cultural significance to the indigenous communities of the region. As the guide shared the role of native species within the ecosystem and how local communities have understood and used them across generations, the walk becomes something more than exercise.
