Water Conservation
With a net-zero approach, rainwater is harvested into reservoirs. It’s then purified for all resort needs using a natural bioswale and advanced carbon filtration system.
From rainwater harvesting that provides all the resort’s water supply to a solar energy system that is one the largest in Phuket, from construction based on green-building principles to a coral reef rejuvenation project, Rosewood Phuket demonstrates respect for the land of which it is its steward and guardian. Rosewood Phuket’s conservation systems are measured tangibly in three areas: in energy and water savings and in carbon footprint reduction.
Rosewood Phuket was one of the first LEED Gold Certified Resorts in Thailand. The design and operation of the resort was undertaken with a long-term commitment to protecting the environment
Working with the navy and local government, the resort contributed to the placement of 340 artificial reef structures in the bay to help replenish aquatic life.
Rosewood Phuket partners with local farmers and producers to reduce their and the resort’s footprint. Approximately 70% of produce and protein at the resort are sourced locally
Sustainability is one of the pillars of Rosewood Explorers where programming and activities focus on fun, while learning about the resort’s natural eco-systems
The resort partners with Soi Dog Foundation whose mission is to improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, to end animal cruelty and create a society without homeless animals.
