The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has designated Bermuda as a Level 4 destination, where the COVID-19 Risk is "Very High." Following guidelines and essential procedures shared by the Bermuda Ministry of Health, Rosewood Bermuda remains open to welcome local guests for "staycations" as well as international guests following Bermuda's international travel requirements.
We remain fully dedicated to operating at the highest standards through "Commitment to Care," Rosewood Hotel Group’s new global health and safety program and have intensified hygiene and safety measures across all major touchpoints in our operations following guidelines issued by the Bermuda Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are delighted to welcome visitors once again, and we thank our loyal guests, members, and community for their patience during this unprecedented time.
Travel Requirements
In light of our “new normal” of travel, the Bermuda Tourism Authority has prepared guidelines for travelers coming to Bermuda. Visitors are asked to comply with the following protocol:
TRAVEL NOTICE for NON-IMMUNIZED TRAVELERS:
- All visitors ages 12 and up must be fully vaccinated to land in Bermuda.
- Unvaccinated children under the age of 12 may accompany their vaccinated parents while traveling to Bermuda.
- Only residents of Bermuda will be permitted to travel to the island without proof of vaccination.
Prior to flying, ALL TRAVELERS to Bermuda must:
- BEGIN THE BERMUDA TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION PROCESS ONLINE UP TO ONE MONTH BEFORE DEPARTURE; a $40 application fee per traveler (ages 2 and up) is required
- ALL TRAVELERS ages 2 and up are required to have a pre-departure COVID-19 test. Test results must be entered as part of the online travel authorization process 1 to 3 days prior to arrival, and be presented upon arrival in Bermuda. Visitors without a pre-arrival test submission will not be able to obtain Travel Authorization and enter Bermuda.
- Vaccinated travelers must have either an NAAT (PCR, LAMP or TMA) test taken up to 4 days prior to arrival or a Supervised Antigen test taken up to 2 days prior to arrival.
- Unvaccinated minors under the age of 12 must have an NAAT test taken up to 4 days prior to arrival.
- Minors under 2 years old do not require Travel Authorization or Testing.
- Wear face masks and practice physical distancing at the departure airport.
- Additionally, travelers are encouraged to pack a thermometer and acquire health insurance covering illness and injury outside of their home jurisdiction, including related to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis while in Bermuda.
On arrival in Bermuda:
- Present a copy of your Travel Authorization. If you do not have a printer, have ready a charged phone or tablet to show your Travel Authorization.
- Present a copy of the pre-departure COVID-19 negative test result obtained before arriving in Bermuda.
- THERE ARE NO FURTHER TESTING REQUIREMENTS ON ISLAND for vaccinated travelers, and unvaccinated minors accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians.
While on-island:
- VACCINATED TRAVELERS AND UNVACCINATED MINORS TRAVELING WITH VACCINATED PARENTS OR GUARDIANS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO TEST ON-ISLAND, EXCEPT TO FULFILL TEST REQUIREMENTS FOR RETURN DESTINATIONS. See "Departing Bermuda" for details on testing.
- ALL TRAVELERS are asked to respect continued safety standards including physical distancing, hand hygiene, and mask-wearing in crowded public spaces where social distance cannot be maintained including on all public transport (taxis, ferries, and buses).
- Comply with restrictions on gatherings to a maximum of 200 people.
Departing Bermuda
- For certain destinations, travelers will be required to get tested for COVID-19 and obtain proof of a negative result prior to boarding their flight departing Bermuda. Any traveler in need of an outbound test will be automatically booked for a pre-departure test matched with the requirements of the guest's destination.
- Outbound supervised antigen tests will be automatically scheduled for the day before the traveler's departure from Bermuda (per the departure date entered on their Travel Authorization).
- Outbound PCR tests will be automatically scheduled 2 days before the traveler's departure from Bermuda (per the departure date entered on their Travel Authorization).
- Travelers will receive a test reminder email from the government notifying them of their testing date and location.
- Alternatively, hotel guests of Rosewood Bermuda have access to complimentary supervised antigen tests on-site, available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please contact bermuda.concierge@rosewoodhotels.com for information or to schedule.
- On-site PCR testing is available to hotel guests, Tucker's Point Residence owners, Homeowners, and Club members at an additional cost. Please contact bermuda.concierge@rosewoodhotels.com for information or to schedule.
- On-site test appointments must be requested a minimum of 48 hours prior to the intended test date with the Rosewood Bermuda Front Desk or Concierge. A member of the Rosewood Bermuda team will confirm the testing site and time.
- All testing is completed by an independent lab. Results will be sent directly to the guest within 24 hours of testing for standard PCR tests, or on the same day for Pre-departure Rapid Antigen Tests.
- Cancellations for on-site testing must be made 24 hours prior to the test date, cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the test date are subject to the full charge for the test.

In the event of a COVID-19 Positive Test result:
- If a vaccinated traveler becomes COVID-19 positive, is a close contact of a positive person, is symptomatic, or if a traveler is clinically diagnosed at any point, they will be subject to public health regulations and will be quarantined or isolated, as appropriate at their accommodation.
- Vaccinated travelers who are undergoing quarantine must be isolated for a minimum of 7 days. A verified/supervised antigen test will be required to "test out" of quarantine.
- Special arrangements will be made by Rosewood Bermuda to allow for the safe quarantine of the guest during this time.
- Guests and Residents of Bermuda are strongly encouraged to download and utilize the WeHealth Bermuda smartphone app, which provides anonymous notifications regarding COVID-19 exposure. The app is free and available for download via the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
What To Expect During Your Stay
The health and safety of our guests, members, and associates remain a paramount concern in light of the risks that COVID-19 presents, and as such has necessitated some changes in our services. The list below highlights these fundamental changes that visitors can expect to experience during their stay.
General Guidelines:
- The island of Bermuda requires all visitors to be fully vaccinated and to have a completed/approved Travel Authorization.
- On-island testing is no longer required except to fulfill pre-departure testing requirements for return destinations, see above section entitled "Departing Bermuda" for additional details.
- The use of face masks and adherence to social distancing standards are required within indoor facilities and in outdoor public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained such as resort shuttles.
- Patrons must comply with restrictions on gatherings to a maximum of 200 people.
- Guests and Residents of Bermuda are strongly encouraged to download and utilize the WeHealth Bermuda smartphone app, which provides anonymous notifications regarding COVID-19 exposure. The app is free and available for download via the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
Accommodations:
- Housekeepers will not enter an accommodation if a guest is in. Housekeeping staff will not handle guest items.
Dining:
- All dining outlets except for the beach club, are open and are observing social distance guidelines, as such space is limited, and reservations are required.
- The use of face masks and adherence to social distancing standards are required when moving through indoor facilities, for example when walking to or from your dining table seat.
Wellness Facilities:
- The Fitness Centre observes physical distancing between indoor equipment and exercise areas, as such maximum occupancy may be reduced to maintain distancing.
- Reservations for Spa and Fitness classes are required, Walk-ins are not permitted at this time.
- A short questionnaire will be sent upon confirmation of a reservation to collect required personal information including address, telephone number, and email. The questionnaire should be completed and sent prior to the appointment.
- Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to appointment time.
- The use of face masks and adherence to social distancing standards are required within indoor facilities and in outdoor public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained such as resort shuttles. Masks may be removed when necessary for services such as facial treatments.
Golf, Tennis, Pool, and Beach Facilities:
- Tucker’s Point Golf Club is open including locker facilities, gym, and pro-shop.
- Tennis Centre facilities, as well as lessons, are available.
- The Beach Club will be available from March 15, for hotel guests and club members with specific access.
- Resort pools including the Palm Court Pool and the Castle Harbour Pool are open. The Horizon Pool and Fountain Pool at the Beach Club will re-open from March 15. Poolside food & beverage service is available from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
