IN VILLA DINING EXPERIENCES

At Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, it took a few years of welcoming guests and refining how best to communicate our estate’s uniquely Tuscan spirit for us to fully realise that villas are homes – and that means home cooking.

Of course you can order in; but room service is never quite going to reproduce the scent of freshly-grated truffles on a twirl of pasta strands straight from the pan, or the aroma of a slow-braised roast as your own private chef takes it, still sizzling, from the oven.

In order to allow guests to appreciate to the full the warmth and intimacy of our Tuscan villas, we have designed a range of made-to-measure dining, catering and bar services, all available on a daily basis.

IN VILLA PRIVATE COOKING CLASSES

Learn the secrets of Tuscan and Italian cuisine, which is all about using genuine ingredients and simple
but effective techniques to create authentic flavors directly in your Villa.

For a better experience, we strongly recommend groups not to exceed 6 people and children must be accompained by an adult.

PARTNERS IN PROVENANCE

Rosewood chefs partner with local farmers and food producers in a commitment to showcasing locally grown, sustainable ingredients in fine cuisine.

TUSCAN FARMS & PURVEYORS

The estate fosters relationships with a carefully selected group of local providers who embody and enrich the gastronomic heritage of Tuscany through respect for local culinary traditions. Products from these world-renowned partners include: traditional Chianina meats and Prosciutto Crudo Grigio del Casentino from Macelleria Fracassi (Arezzo); organic, often rare, cereals and legumes from Podere Pereto-Rapolano Terme in Siena; selection of biodynamic, seasonal goat cheeses from Azienda Agricola Santa Margherita (Siena); selection of biodynamic Tuscan Pecorino and goat cheeses from Podere Il Casale (Pienza); chocolate cream from artisanal chocolate producer Vestri (Arezzo); artisanal beer from SantAntimo Abbey in Montalcino; and white and black truffles gathered from the village of San Giovanni d’Asso.

In addition, the estate’s own bounty includes wine, grappa, honey and olive oil from its on-site winery, fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs from its organic garden, and Tuscan cold cuts and game from its farm.
