Through a series of curated experiences, the iconic Los Cabos resort will pay homage to its Mexican heritage in honor of its quarter century milestone

This year, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, the distinct luxury resort located in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since its opening in 1997, Las Ventanas al Paraíso has set the bar for luxury in the hospitality industry, as a leader in offering innovative amenities and programs, luxurious accommodations and an unparalleled level of service. To kick-off the celebrations, Las Ventanas al Paraíso will bring La Botica, the first speakeasy in Los Cabos, to cities across the U.S. in iconic locations including Bemelmans’s Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City and Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas. The pop-up events will feature entertainment from the vibrant Rosalia de Cuba, the resort’s first-ever artist-in-residence, known for her powerful voice and Afro-Cuban Jazz performances, along with three of the apothecary-themed speakeasy’s unique cocktails, including: the Hoja Santa Smash, a spicy and sweet Mezcal based drink; the Serrano Chilli Cocktail, a spicy cocktail with notes of elderflower; the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, a classic spicy margarita with a sweet and fruity twist.
Over the July 4th holiday weekend, the resort’s exact anniversary, Las Ventanas al Paraíso will host a signature celebratory party featuring live entertainment and an exceptionally memorable dinner experience, concluded with a spectacular firework show. Honoring its Mexican legacy while showing gratitude to its most loyal guests, Las Ventanas has planned a special excursion in October to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos, one of the nation’s most recognized traditions dedicated to remembering those who have passed away. As part of Rosewood on the Road, the intimate group will head south to Tzintzuntzan, Michoacan, a destination famed for its Day of the Dead displays and nighttime cemeteries, shrouded in marigolds and illuminated by thousands of candles. For this once-in-a-lifetime experience, the resort has tapped David Luna, the property’s first PlaceMaker, to design special pieces for the festivities. This extravagant trip will provide an authentic experience that showcases Mexico’s rich culture.
To further connect memories of the past to the present, throughout the year the resort’s venues will feature a dedicated menu of favorites over the past 25 years, including a special anniversary menu at the Sea Grill available as of March 15 and a signature anniversary massage at The Spa at Las Ventanas.
