Luxury resort in Montecito, CA spotlights bees and honey with Valmont cosmetics partnership, beekeeping experience and signature dessert

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA - Rosewood Miramar Beach, the Forbes Five-Star resort located on an exclusive oceanfront stretch in Montecito, CA honors one of the cornerstones of our food system with bee experiences throughout the Resort. In line with Rosewood Sustains, which showcases the brand’s commitment to growing our lifestyle ecosystem responsibly by embracing circular hospitality and protecting our environment for future generations, the team at Rosewood Miramar Beach created an array of ways to celebrate National Honey Month this year.
Starting September 1st, guests and visitors alike can enjoy new bespoke honey-inspired experiences including a pop-up with Valmont Cosmetics featuring their exclusive newly relaunched l’Elixir des Glaciers Essence of Bees collection, a one-of-a-kind beekeeping experience at Rosewood Miramar Beach’s very own on-property beehives and indulge in Our Bee’s Went to Penryn – the signature dessert at the Resort’s Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star award-winning restaurant Caruso’s.
L'Elixir des Glaciers Essence of Bees Pop-up with Valmont Cosmetics at Rosewood Miramar Beach
To celebrate the launch of Valmont Cosmetics at Sense, a Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Miramar Beach and in honor of National Honey Month, we welcome resort guests and the community to experience the l’Elixir des Glaciers Essence of Bees Collection. In partnership with Sense, A Rosewood Spa, Valmont will host a two-day *pop-up shopping and facial treatment experience. Located in Bungalow 1A from 10am to 6pm on September 29th and 30th Valmont will offer 45-minute mini-masterpiece facials with their new celebrated Essence of Bees collection.
At the heart of this prestigious collection lies a masterful formulation that brings together the heart and soul of ingredients from Swiss beehives, honey, propolis and royal jelly for the very first time in an exclusive complex. Pushing the boundaries of anti-aging efficacy, Essence of Bees also provides ultimate nutritive and restorative treatment for even the driest skins.
*Valmont will donate part of the profits of the Essence of Bees collection sales to the Pollinator Partnership to support them in the realization of projects connected to bees' protection.
Beekeeping Experience at Miramar
Starting September 1st, we invite Resort guests to experience the captivating world of honey harvesting alongside Executive Chef Massimo Falsini. Located on the grounds of Rosewood Miramar Beach, discover the Resort’s bustling apiary, where nature’s most industrious workers are pollinating and producing honey. Throughout this experience, participants will learn the art behind beekeeping and honey harvesting, discover the environmental impacts bees have on their surrounding climates and more. Not to mention, take home a jar of harvested honey from the hives.

Our Bees Went to Penryn
From hive to delectable dish, the Caruso’s team features Rosewood Miramar Beach’s harvested Miramar Honey in the Dolci dish, Our Bees Went to Penryn available exclusively at Caruso’s. Caruso’s was recently awarded a Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star for its sustainable efforts. The Restaurant celebrates the Central Coast highlighting local purveyors, farms, and ingredients as well as spotlighting destinations and people in California with likeminded philosophies.
