PRESS RELEASES
March 16, 2022
Just in time for its third anniversary on 17 March 2022, Rosewood Hong Kong, the ultra-luxury hotel at Victoria Dockside arts and design district on Victoria Harbour, has recently received a trio of awards, saluting an unparalleled stay experience, visionary cuisine and contribution to sustainability. Fittingly, the hotel is sharing its gratitude with a threesome of special offers to commemorate the “double three” celebration.
Rosewood Hong Kong was named as having the world’s best suite in AHEAD Global Awards; received Tatler Hong Kong Dining Award’s “Chef of the Year” for Chef Manav Tuli of CHAAT Indian restaurant, hot on the heels of the eatery receiving its first one-Michelin-star in the latest MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau; and was also bestowed CLP Power Hong Kong’s Renewable Energy Contribution Award.
“We are so proud to receive these accolades for the thoughtful design and unique experiences Rosewood Hong Kong delivers,” says Hoss Vetry, Regional Vice President and Managing Director, Rosewood Hong Kong. “Our ambition is not only to create a new world standard for ultra-luxury hospitality and be a focal point for vibrant Hong Kong lifestyle, but also be known for building a better future for our home and giving back to our community with all our hearts and thankfulness.”

Distinguished Award for a Superlative Signature Suite
Rosewood’s most recent award accolade recognises its Harbour House as the world’s best suite in the AHEAD Global Awards 2021. Renowned design and hospitality judges worldwide described the Harbour Suite as “bursting with personality and love of detail,” striking a perfect balance between “opulent luxury” and a “refined sense of style and modern Hong Kong flavour.” Further, they said the result is an “elevated guest experience” that is “unparalleled,” embodying “the definition of luxury.”
Designed by Tonychi studio, the 1,000-square-metre (10,764-square-foot) Harbour House floor boasts spectacular views from private sky terraces on the 57th level and unique décor and design. Enhancing the lavish interiors, a garden oasis features harbour view sun decks and private lap pools. Located on the same floor, the Harbour House and Garden House can be combined, offering an entirely private five-bedroom retreat complete with a state-of-the-art private gym. Rosewood Hong Kong is home to 91 suites, the highest number of suites of any Hong Kong luxury hotel including some of the largest.
Delicious Dining with Purpose
Coming soon after Rosewood’s CHAAT Indian restaurant received one Michelin star, its Chef de Cuisine, Manav Tuli, has been named the Chef of the Year by Tatler Dining Awards 2022, acknowledging his significant impact on the dining scene in the past year, culinary vision and initiatives even beyond the kitchen.
Last year, Chef Manav led the CHAAT and Rosewood teams to raise funds for “Help India Breathe” and “Eat Give Revive.” He also assembled seven reputable Indian chefs in Hong Kong to host the “Cook For India” charity dinner at CHAAT to support India during the worst of its devastating COVID-19 outbreak.
“I believe that there is no better way to engage our guests and peers to support a cause than through the universal language of food,” Chef Manav said.
Further, in July 2021, Chef Manav launched a bi-weekly curry-focused lunch, featuring an interactive and educational menu covering six Indian regional curries from across the sub-continent. Chef Manav personally explains the fascinating history and origins behind each distinctive regional dish, to expand appreciation of his home country’s traditions, tastes and diversity.
Celebration of Sustainability
CLP Power Hong Kong recently presented the Renewable Energy Contribution Award for the second year to Rosewood Hong Kong to recognise its commitment to building a better tomorrow by adopting renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions and joining other environmentally conscious businesses across the city aiming for a lower-carbon future.
In addition to conserving the environment, supporting underprivileged and vulnerable communities has been a critical focus of the hotel’s social responsibility initiatives. In response to the recent COVID-19 surge in Hong Kong, early this March Rosewood Hong Kong joined forces with its parent group’s New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel to cook and distribute 1,800 meals for the elderly, distributed by Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA.)
Rosewood Hong Kong has also partnered with Social Ventures Hong Kong for the “Women Supporting Women” campaign in conjunction with International Women’s Day on 8 March. The hotel’s in-house female leaders are hosting virtual tutorials for more than 200 low-income, full-time mothers in Hong Kong to provide support for their wellness and mental health and share fun family-bonding activities to lift spirits at home. The month-long effort in March also includes the donation of supplies of COVID-19 test kits and face masks as well as a portion of the sales proceeds from the Butterfly Patisserie’s specially created, limited edition International Women’s Day collection of pastries, cakes and desserts.
