Las Ventanas has thrown down the culinary gauntlet. If you think you can cook, you will prepare an original dish for Executive Chef Fabrice Guisset, who will then judge your talent. If you win the challenge, you are honored by having your original dish added to the “Chef's Suggestions” menu  of Las Ventanas’ acclaimed signature restaurant.

COOKING DEMONSTRATION AT THE HERB GARDEN

Learn the secrets of Las Ventanas´ award-winning cuisine. The Cooking Demonstration, conducted by the resort’s Chefs are held in the open-air kitchen located in the resort’s beautiful and fragrant Herb Garden.

Reservations are required a minimum of 24 hours in advance, and are subject to availability. 

This experience can be enjoyed by two to ten guests at a time.

TEQUILA SIGN

After several months of development, Las Ventanas al Paraiso Tequila Masters have created an exclusive program that will determine guests’ personal Tequila Sign, or the variety of tequila that fits the guests’ personality, palette and preferences best. Following a one-on-one blind tasting with one of the resort’s experts, guests will learn if they are “Adventurous,” “Robust,” “Greedy” or “Herbal.” Each of these distinctions corresponds with a selection of tequilas that fit the guests’ flavor preferences and personalities.

DINING AT LA CAVA

For guests seeking a truly unique and exclusive environment for private gatherings, Las Ventanas’ beautiful wine room, La Cava is available by special arrangement. Dine on a delectable personally tailored menu while seated in a magnificently decorated room, surrounded by hundreds of bottles of the World´s finest wines.

La Cava also features weekly “Gourmet Table” gastronomic dinners, limited to 12 guests. Available on Friday and Saturday evenings, the special five-course tasting menu showcases the unique flavors of the Baja Peninsula.

This experience can be enjoyed by a maximum of 12 guests at a time.

BACK TO THE ROOTS

During this culinary experience, guests will travel back to the roots of ancient Mexican cuisine as they learn the pre-Hispanic technique of “barbacoa”. The experience will begin in the morning when guests meet with Chef Jesus Chuc, who will present quality meat from local farmers. With Chef, guests will wrap the meat in Maguey leaves and place it in a heated, underground barbacoa oven. The meat will be covered, and over the next seven hours, it will cook slowly in the heated oven and become tender and richly flavorful. That evening, guests will gather at a communal table to enjoy a traditional barbacoa dinner with fine mezcal and traditional salsas.

This experience can be enjoyed by up to ten guests at a time.
