Travel Information: January, 7th 2021
Operational Update
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is thrilled to announce its full reopening on April 1, 2021.
The hotel has been operating with Villas until November, 12th 2020. However, due to the latest Government restrictions and regional limitations to travel for leisure, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco cannot accept bookings with the following travelling dates: January, 7th until January, 31st 2021.
We aim at being back with regular Villa operations as soon as the situation improves and restrictions will be eased.
Crafted from 17th- and 18th-century farmhouses, the lovingly restored, wonderfully private homes are located throughout the 5000- acre property estate and feature fully equipped kitchens, generous and elegant interiors, pools, terraces and gardens, all framed by outstanding natural beauty.
We will be updating this page periodically as we monitor the evolution of the situation.
Operational Measures
The health and safety of our guests and associates is our utmost priority.
In following the World Health Organization, along with the Italian health authority (Istituto Superiore di Sanità) and Rosewood Commitment to Care, we have put in place new cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure we meet our guest needs while doing our part to keep you, our associates, and our communities safe.
All our associates receive continuous training on hygiene and cleanliness standards specific to their functional area.
Each Villa and public areas of the resort have undergone a deep clean prior to reopening. Once reopened, our enhanced cleaning standards will continue to be overseen and regularly reviewed by the resort Management Team.
These measures are in addition to our already robust hygiene and cleanliness protocols supplying handwashing facilities, as well as alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and strict guidance on regular hand washing throughout the day.
All our employees have been required not to come to work if they are feeling unwell or had contact with anyone who is suspected or confirmed as having Covid-19.
Additionally, employees will be temperature screened before entering the resort. If an employee is displaying any symptoms relating to the virus, they will be sent home and the COVID-19 safety procedure will activated.
Guest Journey
Upon arrival, there will be a screening procedure which may include a temperature check and guests will be required to fill and sign a self-certification. We are required to file guest track of presence for 14 days after check-in by Italian authorities for security reasons.
If, upon arrival, a guest is showing a high temperature, or any other symptoms related to Covid-19, they will be asked to travel later and will be cared for in a separate designated room until local authorities give clearance. Additionally, guests will be required to cover all costs of any extra nights required for quarantine procedures.
As per the Italian government’s latest directions relating to the COVID-19 health situation, social distancing and personal protective devices are required as follows in all interactions with resort staff and other guests in order to protect each other: maintain one meter of distance and the use of face masks both when indoors or outdoors.
We have been working hard to put in place the highest health and safety measures while preserving the flawless Guest Journey into our resort.
