Santa Fe’s premier culinary destination celebrates the arrival of Casa Dragones in New Mexico by hosting a four-course dinner with expert tequila pairings
The Anasazi Restaurant, Bar and Lounge at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is the first restaurant in New Mexico to carry one the world’s most prestigious tequila brands, Casa Dragones. To celebrate this exciting new addition to the restaurant’s elite tequila selection, the Anasazi Restaurant and Casa Dragones will host a four-course dinner on December 10th, featuring an inspired menu of artfully prepared dishes paired with Casa Dragones tequilas. Created by Executive Chef Juan Bochenski, the dinner will showcase Casa Dragones Joven and Blanco tequilas alongside his Southwestern flavors.
“It is an honor to be the first restaurant in New Mexico to offer Casa Dragones and an absolute pleasure to serve a delicious dinner centered on this extraordinary brand,” said Managing Director Stephanie White. “On the heels of the Anasazi Restaurant’s recent renovation and the exciting addition of our new dedicated Tequila Table, it is the perfect time to welcome Casa Dragones into our comprehensive tequila selection and further solidify the Anasazi Restaurant as Santa Fe’s premier cocktail destination.”
The Anasazi Restaurant, Bar and Lounge will offer both Casa Dragones Joven and Casa Dragones Blanco. Casa Dragones Joven, designed for sipping, is a rare blend of silver tequila and extra aged tequila which have been stored in American oak barrels for five years. Its taste is soft and smooth with notes of pear, vanilla and spice finishing with hints of hazelnut. Casa Dragones Blanco was introduced in 2014, and is best served on the rocks or in cocktails. It combines hints of pepper and cloves with semi-sweet agave notes and an herbaceous aroma. Casa Dragones takes pride in its attention to detail and produces just 500 cases of tequila in each batch. With such limited production, it is an honor for Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi to be selected as one of the few distributors of the brand in the United States.
The arrival of Casa Dragones will be celebrated on Thursday, December 10, 2015 with a dinner prepared by Executive Chef Juan Bochenski. The dinner will start off with a delicate Ceviche De Ghuachinango with leche de tigre, rocoto pepper and sweet onions followed by two traditional Latin inspired main courses. Diners will enjoy Tacos Al Pastor partnered with pineapple and achiote in addition to Carne Asada paired with mushroom chilaquiles and tinga poblana. To end the meal on a sweet note, Chef Juan will prepare Sorbet De Tamarindo with agave nectar and compressed melon.
