Join us in an engaging virtual and physical landscape tour. Guests collect plants and art by scanning images around the resort, completing a virtual map while learning about species, ecosystems, and conservation efforts.

The experience includes a quiz scavenger hunt with prizes, supporting the PRI Conservation Society. With flexible gameplay, guests can trade, compete, and explore, turning their stay into an interactive journey of discovery and environmental impact.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso has been recognized for its commitment to responsible design, winning the inaugural Responsible Architecture Design Award in 1999 and 2003. With over 1,000 indigenous plant species, including endangered varieties, Gregorio Urbina’s stewardship preserves the resort’s ecological heritage. Guests can explore a desert plant identification book, honored with a National ASLA Excellence Award, in every suite.

At Las Ventanas al Paraiso, we are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, striving to promote a greener future through numerous initiatives. We cultivate biodiversity and support local ecosystems by gifting our associates emblematic plants from our hotel and seeds of native flora to promote conservation. We actively participate in beach cleanups to preserve our coastal ecosystems and protect marine life. Additionally, we have established a Clean Point collection center in collaboration with the Clean Up Association, furthering our commitment to recycling and waste management efforts. 

WHAT INSPIRES AND GUIDES YOUR SPIRIT TO PROTECT AND NURTURE?
 
I deeply believe in the purpose that guides us: to create a tomorrow where people and places enrich one another. For me, that begins with recognizing the immense value of biodiversity, honoring the traditions that shape us, and nurturing the communities that sustain us. 

HOW DO YOU DEFINE AND PRACTICE SUSTAINABILITY AT LAS VENTANAS AL PARAISO?
 
Sustainability, for me, is not a trend or a strategy — it’s an act of respect, coherence, and gratitude. Through every conscious decision — from supporting those most in need, to protecting our local flora and fauna, to reducing our environmental footprint — I seek to give back with intention and integrity.

It’s about more than responsibility; it’s about leaving a mark that heals, that inspires, and that transforms. A path where local culture is shared with pride, where luxury lives in harmony with the natural world, and where even the smallest act of care can spark meaningful, lasting change.

Because true change begins when we understand that we are all connected — nature, community, and ourselves — and when we move forward with love, we build a future that is not only more sustainable, but more alive, for everyone.
