The legendary Café Carlyle continues its celebrated fall series with an intimate evenings of music and conversation hosted by Earl Rose, the Emmy Award–winning pianist and composer whose work spans television, film, and concert halls. Known for his elegant touch and artistry, Rose has performed worldwide and composed for acclaimed projects, promising one-night-only events that will offer an intimate musical experience for Café Carlyle’s audience.
Hailed for his “brilliance, penetrating sound and rich character” (The New York Times), clarinetist Anthony McGill is Principal Clarinet of the New York Philharmonic—the first African-American to hold that position. Named Musical America’s 2024 Instrumentalist of the Year and recipient of the Avery Fisher Prize, McGill appears as a soloist with top orchestras worldwide and is a passionate advocate for music education and equity in the arts. His artistry has been featured at major venues and historic moments, including the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
