Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Appoints Corporate Director of Communications

DALLAS, TEXAS – Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®, one of the world’s most respected ultra-luxury hotel groups, is delighted to announce that Brett Perkins has been appointed corporate director of communications. In this new role, Perkins will oversee all brand communications and corporate public relations initiatives for Rosewood. Additionally, he will be responsible for managing the brand’s social media strategy, as well as all of Rosewood’s public relations agencies worldwide.
“Brett has a strong background in public relations, a keen understanding of luxury hotels, and has worked with several Rosewood properties over the years, so he was the obvious choice when it came time to select a new corporate director of communications,” said Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “He has unbelievable international experience, and will be a great asset to our team as we expand and open new properties around the globe.”
Perkins joins Rosewood with more than 15 years of experience in communications and hospitality. Mostly recently, he spent three years as director of communications of The Savoy in London. In this role, he oversaw the communications strategy for one of the world’s most high-profile hotel openings in 2010, following a $300million restoration. Previously, he has served as the public relations consultant for several of the world’s leading hotels and members’ clubs, including The Dorchester in London, The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York, and the Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle in Scotland, in addition to working with international consumer brands. From 1997 to 2001, Perkins was an account director at RJH Public Relations, where he worked with the agency’s luxury clients, including The Lanesborough, The Club at County Hall in London and Sotogrande in Spain.
In addition to Perkins’ extensive communications experience, he has had the privilege of working all over the world, affording him with a keen understanding of international business practices. Perkins holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Edinburgh University.
