KT Lam

An influential industry figure with over 10 years’ experience, KT has transferred from Rosewood Hong Kong, where he spent the past four years as Beverage Manager at DarkSide. Under his stewardship, the sultry jazz lounge received numerous awards and reached ninth place on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list in 2023. KT will oversee Sora’s day-to-day operations, while adding new energy to the menu, events and collaborations.

Building on Sora’s excellent reputation, KT plans to emphasize Rosewood’s ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy with creative cocktails and collaborations celebrating Cambodian culture. He also intends to enhance the guest experience with his dedication to bespoke service and storytelling.

When KT is not behind the bar, you might find him savoring his favorite drink - the Old Cuban. “It’s perfect for Cambodia’s tropical climate,” he says.

Visal Sor Soa

Assistant Manager of Sora Visal Sor Sao has a decade-long background in the hospitality industry. His journey in bartending began at Elephant Bar in Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh, where he started as a waiter before transitioning to his true passion: bartending.

Visal believes that a well-crafted cocktail should mirror the complexities of life and, just like life, require balance. At Sora, he shares this philosophy with guests by concocting cocktails with a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and bitter. His preferred technique in mixology is stirring, as it unites all the flavors together elegantly.

Visal’s stints at renowned Cambodian establishments such as Jaya House River Park, Ox Club Fine Dining Restaurant, and Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra have honed his ability to curate extraordinary experiences for guests. He is confident he and his team at Sora can elevate Cambodia's cocktail industry to global recognition by paying attention to every detail, from their impeccably crafted cocktails to offering the highest level of personalized service.

He firmly believes in continuously improving himself and expanding his perspective on life to better connect with guests around the world.
