Rosewood Mayakoba is open and fully operational including food and beverage outlets, spa and wellness experiences. The safety and wellbeing of the Resort’s guests and associates remain the utmost priority and Rosewood Mayakoba will continue to operate following the guidelines set by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ Commitment to Care global health and safety program to ensure the protection of all those who visit.
Rosewood Mayakoba requires all guests to wear face masks in all common areas of the resort (any area where there are other guests or associates). Along with face masks and temperature screening, the Resort also encourages all guests to keep physical distancing from other guests not in their own party. Employees are required to wear job-related personal protective equipment (face masks, gloves, face shields). We appreciate everyone’s support in following these guidelines to minimize the risk for guests and associates.
CDC COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENT
Effective January 26, 2021, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all travelers entering the United States to present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 3 days of departure of their first flight segment headed into the USA (commercial and private flights). This includes travelers who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine.
If a traveler has recovered from COVID-19, the traveler will need proof of recovery within the last 3 months. Traveler must present both proof of positive test and a letter from a licensed health care provider or public health official confirming the passenger has been cleared for travel.
For the convenience of our guests, Rosewood Mayakoba arranged for local healthcare providers to set-up a temporary lab at the resort to offering COVID-19 testing. Complimentary Testing On-Property:
For guests staying 3-nights or longer, the resort will cover the costs of antigen testing with the third-party provider on-site.
U.S./MEXICO BORDER UPDATE
According to the latest communication from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S./Mexico border closure does not apply to air, freight rail, or sea travel between the United States and Mexico, it only applies to land borders (passenger rail, passenger ferry travel), and pleasure boat travel between the United States and Mexico. These restrictions are temporary in nature and shall remain in effect until further notice.
There is no quarantine required for travelers when coming into Mexico. The U.S. CDC recommends that travelers returning to the United States get tested 3-5 days after travel and stay home for 7 days after travel.
