Available exclusively from July through September, during the region’s seasonal whale shark migration, this limited-time expedition offers a rare opportunity to encounter the world’s largest fish in their natural habitat.

Set out before sunrise for a thoughtfully guided whale shark experience off the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. After an early departure from the hotel, guests transfer privately to the pier and board a dedicated vessel for a two-hour, expert-led swim alongside whale sharks. Guided by our expert partners at 4Worlds Expeditions, the experience emphasizes respectful, conservation-minded interaction — small groups, controlled entries, and strict adherence to marine protection guidelines to ensure minimal impact on these migratory species.

Following the swim, the excursion continues to La Isla Mujeres for time to snorkel, swim, and unwind along its calm, turquoise shoreline. A light lunch of fresh guacamole and ceviche is served beachside, with fruit, snacks, and drinks provided onboard throughout the morning.
