Rosewood Mayakoba named Best Hotel in Mexico by Travel and Leisure

July 6, 2016

Rosewood Mayakoba is once again honored to be recognized as the best hotel in Mexico by the prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine in the publication’s 2016 World’s Best Awards. Rosewood Mayakoba is also ranked Number 30 on the list of top 100 hotels worldwide. This is the sixth time Rosewood Mayakoba has been included in Travel + Leisure’s highly coveted reader’s survey list since its grand opening in 2008, further demonstrating the unparalleled level of luxury and excellence that guests of the resort have come to expect.

“Winning this momentous award is a testament to our dedicated staff and their commitment to providing our guests with an unmatched level of service,” said Daniel Scott, Managing Director of Rosewood Mayakoba. “Our staff is deeply invested in delivering an unforgettable stay to all of our guests, taking every opportunity to create unparalleled experiences and lasting memories. This award validates our efforts in providing our guests with some of the best experiences in Mexico and around the world.”

Rosewood Mayakoba, an exclusive oasis situated among 1,600 acres of winding lagoons and a mile-long arc of white Caribbean sand, has enchanted guests since the resort’s debut in 2008. Featuring 130 suites with private pools, docks and waterfront terraces; the world-renowned Sense Spa; five award-winning dining venues; and El Camaleón, the Greg Norman-designed championship golf course and home to the OHL Classic in November, it is a destination that surpasses all others in Mexico.

The resort consistently strives to embody the ultimate in luxury travel with continuous improvements such as a recent $3 million enhancement project that transformed select guest accommodations, public spaces and dining venues including the opening of an authentic Mexican tostaderia, La Fondita. Additionally, Sense, a Rosewood Spa®, recently launched the Kuxtal Sensory Garden Journey, a unique treatment inspired by the Mayan’s deep respect for nature and the belief in the connection between humans and their natural surroundings.

The results of the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2016 will be announced on the TODAY Show on Wednesday, July 6; featured on http://www.travelandleisure.com/worlds-best and in the August issue of Travel + Leisure, on newsstands July 15, 2016.
