Service Charge and Taxes

Room rates are subject to 15% service charge and 10% consumption tax.


Cancellations

The hotel’s standard cancellation policy requires that any cancellation or amendment to a reservation is received 8 days prior to arrival in order to avoid a penalty charge. In the event the hotel is notified any later than this, a charge equivalent to the rate for the entire stay will be due. Please note that group bookings, certain room types, specified periods and promotions are subject to different terms and conditions, which are detailed in the group contract or promotion details.


Arrival and Departure

Check-in is from 3 pm on the day of arrival and check-out on the day of departure is at 12:00 noon.


Transfers

Rosewood Miyakojima can arrange chauffeur service with luxury vehicles at an additional charge.


Additional Person Policy

In certain room types, an extra bed can be provided based on the maximum occupancy per room. A charge of 63,250 Japanese Yen applies for an extra bed for any third person.


Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed to stay at Rosewood Miyakojima. Certified service animals are exempt.


Smoking Policy

Rosewood Miyakojima has implemented a smoke-free policy as a commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for guests and associates alike. Our smoke-free policy applies to cigarettes, cigars, pipes (including electronic and e-cigarettes), and vape pens or e-cigars.


Drones Policy

The use of unmanned aerial systems is strictly prohibited on or above resort property.


Age Requirement for Check-in

Guests under 18 years old staying without a guardian are required to submit a Parental Consent Form.

If the form is not submitted, the reservation may be declined.


Personal Photography

Guests are welcome to take photographs or videos for personal and non-commercial purposes as a keepsake of their stay.

However, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos and videos that may identify other guests, staff members, or personal details such as vehicle license plates.


Consideration During Photography

When taking photos or videos, please be mindful of other guests to ensure a comfortable and respectful environment for all.

We kindly ask that you refrain from the following:

  • Remaining stationary for extended periods in areas such as lobby, restaurant dining rooms or the center of the beach
  • Using equipment such as selfie sticks, gimbals, lightning or tripods in a way that may obstruct walkways or pose a risk of contact with others
  • Speaking loudly or calling out in a manner that disrupts the atmosphere during shooting
  • Moving or damaging equipment or facilities within the facility
  • Photography or videography accompanied by a photographer or videographer

Photography or videography that may contrary to public order and morals


Commercial Photography/Videography

Photography or videography for commercial purposes (such as advertisements or promotional content) is not permitted unless prior approval has been obtained from Rosewood Miyakojima.
If unauthorized commercial photography is identified, we may request that it be discontinued immediately.


Wedding Photography

Wedding shoots are only permitted when arranged through officially recognized photographers or videographers approved by Rosewood Miyakojima.

Please note that photo wedding sessions not approved in advance—whether for personal or commercial purposes—are strictly prohibited.


Request for Cooperation

If any behavior contrary to the above policies is observed, our staff may approach you to provide guidance.

In certain cases, we may ask that photography or videography be ceased.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure a pleasant and respectful experience for all guests.

 

Ocean Safety

The waters surrounding Miyakojima are among the island's greatest treasures. However, sea conditions can change quickly due to tides, currents, wind, and weather.

The beach in front of the hotel is a public beach and is not managed by the hotel. There are no lifeguards on duty, so please exercise caution when swimming.

The hotel is not responsible for injuries, accidents or the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings on the beach or in rocky areas. If you have questions about sea conditions or marine activities, please speak with our Guest Experience Team.

 

For your safety, we kindly ask that you:

·        Check the day's sea conditions before entering the water.

·        Do not enter rocky areas as these can be dangerous.

·        Ensure children do not enter any restricted areas.

·        Wear an appropriate life jacket when participating in marine activities.

·        Avoid swimming or snorkelling during strong winds, high waves, thunderstorms, or when weather advisories are in effect.

·        Keep personal belongings with you at all times.
