Delight in delicacies from all corners of the globe in one unrivalled dining experience across multiple venues at the Rosewood Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s ultimate culinary destination.
February 22, 2021
The first of its kind in Cambodia, Rosewood Phnom Penh’s new ‘Around the World’ dining series takes guests on a journey through a seven-course tasting menu, featuring delicacies from Cambodia, Japan, China, Europe and the US. Courses are enjoyed across Rosewood’s multiple fine eateries, all served up in one unforgettable evening.
Available at Rosewood Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s ultimate culinary destination, from March 6, 2021, this unique culinary adventure begins with a private transfer in the signature Rosewood Limousine complete with a glass of Champagne en route.
Guests are then whisked to the hotel’s 37th floor to enjoy the stunning Phnom Penh skyline at Sora Sky Bar, where Khmer mixologist and Sora Manager, Udom Chhoun thrills with handcrafted cocktails concocted from Cambodia’s finest local ingredients.
Next, guests are transported to Japan at IZA, the hotel’s sophisticated izakaya-style dining venue, to enjoy a moriawase platter of sushi and sashimi, expertly prepared by Chef Danny Yong. IZA Manager Veasna Bun, the first Cambodian to receive a sake sommelier certification, has chosen the perfect pairing: a warm pot of smooth Kubota Senju sake.
The evening continues at sophisticated Chinese restaurant Zhan Liang, where Chef David Pang dishes up an assortment of beloved southern Chinese dim sum and a savory platter of Chinese barbecued specialties. To complement the flavors, Sora Sky Bar’s Udom proposes the Zhan Liang Signature ‘Moutai’ cocktail, inspired by China’s national spirit.
A short trip to the 35th floor takes guests to Brasserie Louis. Specializing in authentic French cuisine made with locally sourced produce, Chef Cristia Nou Picart offers an exquisite main of Tournedos Rossini (a celebrated French steak dish topped with foie gras) accompanied by a carefully selected French red, chosen by Eden Gnean. As the first female Cambodian sommelier, Eden boasts an encyclopedic wine knowledge and was integral to curating the hotel’s 3,200-strong wine vault.
More gourmet treats await on the 38th floor at CUTS, Phnom Penh’s highest restaurant. Enjoy a symphony of European cheeses, a twice-baked cheese soufflé and decadent dark chocolate pralines from Executive Pastry Chef Dustin Baxter, paired with a robust Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Round off a night of globe-trotting epicurean escapades with a ‘nightcap in Scotland’ – two glasses of Macallan 12 Year Fine Oak at the Whisky Library.
“Our ‘Around the World’ dining experience is the first of its kind in Cambodia, offering a gourmet tour around the world in one memorable evening,” says Michael Pearson, Director of Culinary at Rosewood Phnom Penh.
