Riviera Maya, Mexico – Rosewood Mayakoba, the ultra-luxury resort situated on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, has once again been recognized as one of the world’s top resorts in 2020 by the readers of Travel + Leisure in the publication’s annual “World’s Best Awards” list. The property has been named the #2 resort in Mexico, also receiving top honors as one of the “100 Top hotels.” The coveted rankings are compiled based on the results of Travel + Leisure's annual “World’s Best” reader survey, which polled hundreds of thousands of respondents for its 25th edition.
“Year after year, Rosewood Mayakoba’s highly personalized level of service, guest connection, and sense of escape is recognized by the incredibly well-traveled readers of Travel + Leisure,” said Daniel Scott, Managing Director and Regional Vice President. “What makes Rosewood Mayakoba so special is its people and natural environment. Our guests are like family and, while travel may look a little different right now, we are excited to welcome them home to our pristine property.”
Situated within a 620-acre, low density preserve, Rosewood Mayakoba recently completed a $20 million property reimagination which included its 129 on-property suites, introduction of eight dedicated Wellness Suites, fully enhanced three- and four-bedroom Presidential Suites, and debut of Zapote, an innovative bar experience showcasing the deep culinary traditions of Mexico. Rosewood Mayakoba also offers a distinctive collection of private villas with interiors envisioned by award-winning interior designers, situated along the property’s winding freshwater lagoons in two-, three-, four-bedroom, five-bedroom layouts each with a full, dedicated kitchen and dining room.
The 2020 World’s Best Awards will be included in the August issue of Travel + Leisure, and the complete list of this year’s winners can be viewed online at www.travelandleisure.com/worlds-best.
